NAGVA SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTThe Emerald City Cat Fight 2008Seattle Volleyball Club is very excited to announce the move of its annual NAGVA tournament to the Fall Season, the Emerald City Cat Fight will be held September 13th & 14th, and we are pleased to be offering Modifed - AA, BB, and B divisions, with space space for upto 48 teams. ENTRY INSTRUCTIONSAll teams are to register for the tournament via the NAGVA online registration system. Captains who have previously registered for a NAGVA event, Please visit the NAGVA site at: http://nagva.org/help_RegisterTeam.php, sign in, pay applicable NAGVA Team Fees, and register your Team for ECCF 2008. If you are new to NAGVA, please visit the NAGVA site at: http://www.nagva.org/newmember.php, sign-up to become a new NAGVA member, pay applicable NAGVA Fees, and register your Team for ECCF 2008. NAGVA FEESAll NAGVA annual membership fees must be paid prior to participation in the ECCF 2008. The NAGVA season runs from June 1st thru May 31st each year, and you must renew both your individual and team fees each season. NAGVA fees can be paid online upto 1 week prior to the ECCF 2008, please visit www.NAGVA.org for registration instructions. Individual NAGVA fees have been increased to $35 (online payment), Team Fees paid online are $40. NAGVA RULE CHANGE - PLAY AT YOUR RATING LEVEL OR HIGHER ONLYGet ready for longer rallies and reratings!!! At this past Championships in Miami a new rule was voted in by the membership. Teams are no longer allowed to have a higher rated player than the division they are participating in. No more 'AA' players on an 'A' team, no more 'A' players on a 'BB' team, and no more 'BB' players on a 'B' team. Feedback from the recently completed 2008 Chicago tournament director was that the rallies and matches are lasting longer, and its easier to pick out players that are ready for re-rating. REGISTRATION EVENT - TBDOn Friday, September 12th, SVC will host the tournament registration event at a to be determined Capitol Hill location, from 7-10pm. Upon arrival you will sign in with the NAGVA Regional Commissioner, and receive your tournament packet. Included in the tournament packet is the signature Seattle Cat Fight 2008 Shirt, directions to the playing facilities, Pool Schedules, Night Club Entry Pass and other tournament information. Late registration will be completed on Saturday morning from 7:30-8:00am at the playing facility. OFFICIAL’S CERTIFICATIONNAGVA’S Official’s Certification process has changed. All courses and tests will be conductred online @ www.NAGVA.org. Onstie tournament clinics will no longer be conducted. Please stay tuned to the NAGVA site for further details and announcements on this exciting change. SEEDING EVENTOn Saturday evening, a Seeding Event will be held at a Capitol Hill location. AWARDS CEREMONYThe awards ceremony will be held at the playing facility at the conclusion of the last final. PAYMENT AND ENTRY CONFIRMATIONSTeam entry into SCF 2008 is not confirmed until Seattle Volleyball Club has received your team’s full Entry Fee payment. PayPal is the preferred payment method. A Money Order will also be accepted as your team’s payment. Please mail money orders to the below address. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE FINAL DEADLINE OF 8/29/2008.
