UPDATE - AS OF 9/2//2010!
We are less than 1 week away from the start of Seattle's 2010 Emerald City Cat Fight Volleyballl Tournament, and registration is still open. Currently there are 31 teams signed up across 3 divisions with 13 teams entered in AA/A, 12 teams in BB division, and 6 teams entered in the B division. We have been advised of an additional 5-8 teams that are working on getting registered.  This year's event is poised to be packed full of great fun and competition.

Seattle Volleyball Club is pleased to host the 2010 Emerald City Cat Fight September 10th – 12th.  ECCF kicks off the Northwest NAGVA Circuit and is the 1st stop in the prized Triple Tiara race, an award given out to the best placing team in all 3 Northwest tournaments, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, BC.  ECCF 2010 will be returning to Capitol Hill this year, with all events and competition located within a 2mile radius.  We have room for 60 teams across 3 divisions, Modified-AA, BB and B divisions. For the Modified-AA division, AA teams may have up to 3 AA players on their roster. The Northwest NAGVA Circuit and Triple Tiara host cities, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, have all chosen to offer a Modified-AA division in lieu of a standard A division.  We have some very exciting events planned for this year’s tournament, and hope to see everyone in Seattle in September!

Entry Instructions

All teams are to register for the tournament via the NAGVA Website at wwww.nagva.org. If you are a returning NAGVA player, simply login to the site with your site credentials, pay your 2010 – 2011 individual Player and Team NAGVA fees, and add your team to the ECCF tournament. If you are a new NAGVA member, you will need to 1st create a NAGVA website profile. Team captains, please inform your players to pay their 2010 - 2011 NAGVA individual player fees online at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament.

Annual NAGVA Fees

All NAGVA annual membership fees must be paid prior to participation in the ECCF 2010. The NAGVA season runs from June 1st thru May 31st each year, and you must renew both your individual and team fees each season. Please make sure that your player's pay their 2010 -2011 NAGVA fees online at least 1 week prior to the tournament.

Triple Tiara 2010

The Triple Tiara is a prized award given to the team that performs best in all 3 Northwest NAGVA circuit tournaments. At least a core of 4 players must participate in all 3 tournaments in order to be eligible and in the running to receive the Triple Tiara. The Northwest NAGVA circuit host cities are: Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, B.C.

Official's Certification

NAGVA's Official Certification process has changed. All courses and tests will be conducted online @ www.nagva.org. On-site tournament clinics will no longer be conducted. Please make sure to complete your on-line Official's test at least 2 weeks in advance of ECCF 2010. Every team must have a NAGVA or USAV certified Official and Scorekeeper. Teams that do not have a certified Official and Scorekeeper will be charged $20 / match to secure an official.

Extra Players & Team Late Fee Payments

The ECCF 2010 Team Entry Fee is $455 ($469 via PayPal) for up to 7 players by August 28th.  After August 28th, a $75 Late Fee is due. Each additional player over 7 is an additional $65 ($67 via PayPal).  Please use the below PayPal tools to remit Late and Extra Player Fees.

Payment & Entry Confirmations

Your team's entry into ECCF 2010 is not confirmed until SVC receives your Team Entry Fee. The Entry fee to participate is $455 ($469 via PayPal) for up to 7 players by August 28th, 2010 - UPDATE!. After August 28th there will be a $75 late fee. Each additional player over 7 is an additional $65. The final deadline for participation in ECCF 2010 is Friday, August 28th, space permitting. Payments will be accepted via PayPal or with a Cashier's Check / Money Order payable to Seattle Volleyball Club to the address below. Entry into the tournament is based on a first paid basis by postmark date. No personal checks will be accepted.

Once SVC has received your team's payment your team's status will be updated on the NAGVA site and listed as confirmed. SVC will make every effort to accommodate all teams who wish to participate, but space is limited, so please send your entry fees asap.  View The ECCF Entered Teams

Registration Event - Purr Cocktail Lounge

On Friday, September 11th, SVC will host the tournament registration event at the Purr Cocktail Lounge, located at 1518 11th Avenue, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Upon arrival you will sign in with the NAGVA Regional Commissioner, and receive your tournament packet. Included in the tournament packet is the signature 2010 ECCF shirt, directions to the playing facilities, Pool Schedules, Night Club Entry Pass and other tournament information. Late registration will be completed on Saturday morning from 7:30-8:00am at the playing facility.

Host Hotel

The tournament hotel for ECCF 2010 is the Silver Cloud Inn on Broadway. The Silver Cloud is a short trek of 1 -3 miles to the playing facilities, and is a quick walk to most of the Gay Night Life in Seattle.  Rooms are offered at $149 / night for a King room, and $159 / night for 2 Queen beds.  You must book your stay by August 27th in order to secure the reduced rate. Seeding Event

On Saturday evening, a Seeding Event will be held at a Capitol Hill location.

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony will be held at the playing facility at the conclusion of the last final.
