Overview InformationNAGVA SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT & C DivisionSeattle Volleyball Club is pleased to announce the 2008 Emerald City Cup Tournament, February 16th & 17th in Seattle, Washington. This year marks the first time that Seattle will hold its tournament in the heart of Seattle’s Gay Community, Capitol Hill. AA, A, BB, B and C divisions are offered with space for upto 48 teams at 2 locations. The new 6 court site at the Miller Community Center and a 2nd Capitol Hill Community Center location. The NAGVA online registration system is now back up and running, to register for the AA, A, BB and B divisions, please visit www.NAGVA.org and hit the Play link for complete instructions. Seattle Volleyball Club is excited to host its 2nd C Division Tournament. The C Divisional tournament is not Nagva santioned and is for true beginner level teams. Captains will need to create an SVC online profile where they can submit their team rosters. ENTRY INSTRUCTIONSAA, BB, and B divisions - Team Captains, if you have previously played in a NAGVA sanctioned event, please visit the NAGVA site, sign in, pay applicable NAGVA Team Fees, and register your Team for ECC 2008. If you are new to NAGVA, please visit the NAGVA site, sign-up to become a new NAGVA member, pay applicable NAGVA Fees, and register your Team for ECC 2008. All NAGVA annual membership fees must be paid prior to participation in the ECC 2008 AA, BB and B divisions. The NAGVA season runs from June 1st thru May 31st each year, and you must renew both your individual and team fees each season. NAGVA fees can be paid online upto 1 week prior to the ECC 2008, please visit www.NAGVA.org for registration instructions. Individual NAGVA fees paid online are $25, Team Fees paid online are $35. C Division - Team Captains, if you have an existing Seattle Volleyball Club online profile, please login and register your ECC 2008 team via your personal menu. If you do not have an SVC online profile, please go our website and create your profile, you will then have the ability to form an ECC 2008 roster. All C division players and captains will need to have an SVC website profile in order to build your team’s online ECC 2008 roster. Please direct your players to the SVC website to create their profiles. (Existing SVC League players will NOT need to create a new profile). NAGVA fees are not required for the C Division. REGISTRATION EVENT - PURR COCKTAIL LOUNGEOn Friday, February 15th, SVC will host the tournament registration event at the Purr Cocktail Lounge from 7-10pm. Upon arrival you will sign in with the NAGVA Regional Commissioner, and receive your tournament packet. Included in the tournament packet is the signature ECC 2008 Shirt, directions to the playing facilities, Pool Schedules, RPLACE Entry Pass and other ECC 2008 information. OFFICIAL’S CLINIC - MEANY MIDDLE SCHOOL GYMSaturday - 7:00am - Meany Middle School Gym All teams participating in the ECC 2008 must have 1 certified official and scorekeeper according to NAGVA rules & regulations. SVC will host an Official’s Clinic on Saturday morning, from 7am - 8:00am at the Meany Middle School Gym. Please make sure to be on-time, there will be a clinician on hand to go over basic rules and refereeing tactics. There will be a written test that is handed out to be completed on Saturday, and official’s will be evaluated during Pool Play. Attendance is limited to 1 official and 1 scorekeeper per team. SEEDING EVENTOn Saturday evening, a Seeding Event will be held at R-Place Bar & Grill. AWARDS CEREMONYThe awards ceremony will be held at the Miller CC site at the conclusion of the last final. PAYMENT AND ENTRY CONFIRMATIONSTeam entry into ECC 2008 is not confirmed until Seattle Volleyball Club has received your team’s full Entry Fee payment. PayPal is the preferred payment method. A Money Order will also be accepted as your team’s payment. Please mail money orders to the below address. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE FINAL DEADLINE OF 2/8/2008.
